1. Who we are

2. What we collect
- Form details: name, company, email, mobile and telephone numbers, country, message and requirement details.
- The products in your quote list.
- Files you attach on the Contact page.
- A record of your consent: when you gave it and the policy version.
- Basic technical logs kept by our hosting and email providers, such as IP address and timestamps.
We keep anonymous monthly totals of which products are requested. These totals contain no personal information.
Giving us your details is voluntary, but we cannot answer an enquiry or prepare a quote without your contact details.
If you contact us through WhatsApp, your message is handled by WhatsApp under its own terms, and we keep it only as long as needed to answer you.
3. Why we use it and on what basis
We use your details to answer your enquiry and prepare a quotation. We do this with your consent, given by ticking the required box on the form (PDPPL Article 4).
We do not use your details for marketing.
4. How we protect it
Access is limited to our staff. Data is encrypted in transit. Quote documents and attachments are stored privately, and the download links we use internally expire.
5. Who sees it
- Our staff.
- Our cloud hosting and database provider, which may process data outside Qatar.
- Our email delivery provider, which may process data outside Qatar.
These providers handle data only on our behalf and to provide their service to us.
Our pages show a Google map. When a page loads, Google receives your technical data, such as your IP address, and may set its own cookies, under its own terms. If you choose to message us on WhatsApp, your message goes through WhatsApp, a Meta service, under its own terms.
We never sell your data.
6. Transfers outside Qatar
Your data may be processed outside Qatar by the providers listed above, by Google when our map loads, and by Meta if you choose to message us on WhatsApp (PDPPL Article 15).
7. How long we keep it
- Quote PDFs and attachments are deleted after 30 days. Backups may hold deleted files for a limited period.
- Enquiry emails received by our staff are kept only as long as the enquiry and any business that follows require.
- Enquiry and quote records are kept for as long as the business relationship needs them.
8. Your rights
You can withdraw your consent, object to processing, and ask to access, correct or erase your data. Write to scales@qatar.net.qa. We aim to reply within 30 days.
9. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the National Cyber Governance and Assurance Affairs (NCGAA), part of the National Cyber Security Agency.
10. Cookies and storage
Your browser stores only your quote list. We use no analytics and no advertising trackers. The map on our pages is provided by Google, which may set cookies and collect technical data when a page loads, under its own terms. Links to WhatsApp open WhatsApp only when you click them, and are then governed by its terms.
11. Children
This site is meant for businesses and does not knowingly collect children's data.
12. Changes to this policy
Any change is shown by the "Last updated" date and version number at the top of this page.
